DMOP (Digital Maritime Operations Plotter)
The DMOP is a product designed and developed by OSI Maritime Canada. The DMOP serves as a replacement to manual chart table. At the core of the DMOP is the ECPINS with a large horizontal display. The horizontal surface large enough for paper chart plotting. It serves as a product for moving towards paperless Navigation. It meets all the specifications of IMO.
The DMOP has been procured by many navies as a replacement of their existing obsolete chart tables. The current version of the DMOP comprises a dual redundant WECDIS system wholly contained within the chassis of the table. This system meets the requirements for paperless navigation when married with a second external 19” monitor and MIL-SPEC Operator Control Panel (trackball/keyboard unit).
The table top includes a 37” LCD TFT monitor mounted under a clear cover. The large horizontal monitor provides an optimal view for the Command team to have a strong visual appreciation of the navigation, tactical and situational awareness picture. The table chassis assembly consists of four main detachable segments so that they can be deployed on submarines also. Equipment access is from the front of the unit with the provision of cable access through the rear. Side access is provided for maintenance purposes but is not required for standard operation. The cabinet has removable side and back panels and front doors that can be removed if required. The chassis is designed to meet MIL-461E requirements and can be modified to meet further requirements such as MIL-461F.
